What are datacenter proxies?
Datacenter proxies are IP addresses generated by third-party data centers instead of Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
What is the difference between datacenter and residential proxies?
Datacenter proxies come from servers — they are cheaper and faster, but more easily detected and blocked by websites.

Are datacenter proxies faster than residential proxies?
Yes. Datacenter proxies are usually much faster because they run on high-bandwidth servers with direct peering. Without consumer-network overhead, the average latency is around 0.4 seconds.
What's the difference between dedicated datacenter proxies and shared datacenter proxies?
Shared proxies are billed by data traffic, with multiple users sharing a single IP/IP pool;
dedicated proxies are billed by IP/duration, and the IP resources are exclusively for individual use.
How to check if a proxy is a datacenter (DC) proxy?
The easiest way is to paste the IP into https://ipinfo.io/. If the “type” field shows “Hosting”, “Datacenter” or the company is AWS, OVH, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Google Cloud, etc., it’s a datacenter proxy. Residential proxies will show the real ISP name (Comcast, Verizon, AT&T…) and type “ISP” or “Residential”.
